

Ingredients:
50 (14 oz. pkg. light caramels)
1/2 c. evaporated milk or light cream
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter or oleo, melted
1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) semi sweet choc. chips
1 c. chopped pecans
Method:
Melt caramels in evaporated milk, in a heavy saucepan. Cool slightly. Combine remaining ingredients except for chocolate chips and pecans in a large mixing bowl. Press 1/2 crumb mixture into bottom of 13 x 9 pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with chocolate pieces and pecans. Spread carefully with caramel mixture. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake for 15-20 minutes or longer, or until golden brown. Chill for two hours, cut into bars. Serve.
