"I love you this much! Have you ever heard a little child say this and then throw their arms wide open showing you just how much they love you? They want to show you visually, just how BIG their love for you is. Psalm 103: 11-12, Gives us a visual picture of just how BIG God's love for us is! For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him. Close your eyes and visualize a straight line starting at the earth rising as high as the heavens---that's how GREAT God's love is for us! Awesome, isn't it? It is limitless! As far as the east is from the west, so far has heremoved our transgressions from us. God has removed our sins far from us, as far as the east is from the west...but how? Again, close your eyes remembering our visual line starting at the earth rising to the heavens. Let's visualize a second line that intersects the first line and goes as far as the east is from the west. Our visual image is now a cross. God's infinite love is found on a cross, the cross of Christ. This is how God showed his love among us; he sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love; not that we loved God; but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. John 4: 9-10.For it is upon that cross that Jesus stretched out his arms and died for us, so that we would have eternal life......there is no greater love than that! Your Friends, ~Karen and Rachel~
