"Mina" By Karen Scott
Standing 28" OOAK Painted Fairy

Mina has porcelain head, shoulder plate, arms (almost to
elbow) and legs (almost to knee) on a cloth body with a
wired armature. She also has a cloth casing that goes up
through her body to fit the wooden dowel doll stand. Because
she has a wired armature she can be seated as well. Her
porcelain face, arms and legs have a hand-painted floral
design in purple and green with white embossing. She also
has green glass blown German eyes. Her eyelashes have
been hand applied. Her full auburn synthetic wig has long
curls of different lengths.

Her costume is made of purple embroidered organza in a
butterfly pattern. The bodice and sleeves of the costume
have a lavender satin lining. The skirt is sheer and has
layers of lavender tulle netting. Her pantaloons are made
from matching embroidered fabric lined with lavender
satin. She also has a deep purple velvet vest with a
scalloped ruffle at the waist and over the sleeves. She has
large lavender and purple fairy wings that attach with
elastic straps underneath her vest. The vest has been
accented with silk flowers and ribbons. Mina's headpiece
is a mass of lavender and purple silk flowers. The same
silk flowers accent both the back of her wings and her
deep purple custom made shoes. As a finishing touch
several embroidered butterflies have been applied to the
costume with gold beaded bodies.

Mina comes with a wooden stand and a decorative nest
with a bird and eggs that she can either hold or place at
her feet. This is only the third large-size fairy I have
created, and would be a great companion to display with
smaller-sized fairies.

Mina has been hand signed by Karen Scott and also comes
with a certificate of authenticity.
